School system can be defined as the aggregate of the public schools of an area under the administration of an executive officer who represents and is responsible to the board of education in that area. It is the responsibility of the government of that particular region to be fastidious in enforcing and ascertaining that there are sophisticated and reliable school systems.
Need for schools
A school is an institution designed to provide a learning space and environment for the teaching of students under the guidance and direction of teachers. Schools pave a way to achieving success in the right time. It will teach that failures are the stepping stones to success. A school is a rudiment wherein a child develops the quality of perseverance, hard work and receptiveness. A child will also get acclimated to the outside world if he/she goes to school. If we look at the etymology of the word school, it is derived from Greek, originally meaning “leisure” and also “that in which leisure is employed,” but later “a group to whom lectures were given, school.” School environment offers students the opportunity to learn how to work with others, which is a very important real-world skill. Through games and projects, and even participation in after-school sports, children can learn the importance of forging relationships with each other.
One thing that the government should bear in mind is that schools which can build and help in fostering the young minds should be established and enforced. No school which includes no extra activities like after school activities and that which spoon feeds and thereby kills the intellect of the student should be implemented. Such schools fill the brain of children with rust forbidding them from thinking out of the box which is now very much regretted by the parents.
The importance of schools
Let’s look into some of the benefits that a child can excel who attends a school.
Learning about new subjects and becoming proficient in a skill can help a child (or an adult) grow exponentially.
Humans are social animals, and we need people around us to survive. School, even an online school, can be an excellent way to build a network of friends and a like-minded community.
Friendships aren’t the only relationships built in school. A school environment offers students the opportunity to learn how to work with others, which is an important real-world skill.
Perhaps one of the most important reasons to attend school is the wealth of knowledge and information provided within the school setting. School provides a safe haven for spreading ideas and often gives us access to subjects and ideas that we wouldn’t regularly find in our homes or with our friends.
A school can function as the centre of a person’s community and can act as a meeting place, a place for children to grow, and a second home.
It is every human being’s right to attend school. It is a place where knowledge and wisdom are copious. It teaches us morals, ethics, etiquette, discipline, decency, values and much more. It imparts us the power of discernment which no other creature can learn. One who has experienced school life can explore the world. Schools bring out the hidden talents and skills from within a child. Kids learn, play, make fun and enjoy themselves at school. “Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything he learned in school.”
